Live each day as if it were the last: they make a ‚to do before you die list‘ for their disease-doomed pup

Time is precious, life so short. To help their sickly-dead pup live out its final days, a couple created a list of things to do before they die. Emotion in sight.

The heart race of Mike Lauer and his girlfriend, Jessie? The Golden Retriever. Adopting one was therefore a no-brainer.

At the start of 2022, the 2 lovebirds opened the door to their home to Willow, a simply adorable puppy. Unfortunately, the health of the lady in the golden dress began to deteriorate shortly after her arrival.

„2 months after we got her, we noticed Willow had diarrhea and was vomiting,“ Mike told Newsweek, „we gave her new treats, she was playing outside and eating leaves and grass.

The diet recommended by a veterinarian did not improve anything at all.

Back to square one. The owners of the animal consulted other experts.

Unfortunately, after carrying out a battery of medical tests, the health professionals played the ominous birds…

Willow’s kidneys did not seem to be working properly, a specific treatment was prescribed.

“They told us there was a chance she could die, remembers Mike, when they took her to the back, we thought we were saying goodbye to her.

Although she has recovered from her kidney infection, the kidney damage is such that she has been diagnosed with stage 3 chronic kidney disease.”

The disease gradually and irreversibly destroys the patient’s kidneys. For the vets, Willow is doomed. Shocking and heartbreaking news for the couple who recently adopted her.
