Hungry, left in the cold, and totally lost. In Haute-Savoie, Tilu was discovered by rescuers and saved by a neighborhood group.

The dog was alone in an apartment that belonged to his master, who had left him some weeks prior without caring about what would happen to him.

According to a Wednesday, September 28 article in Dauphiné Libéré, a dog whose owner had left him in an apartment was saved and cared for by a local organization in Haute-Savoie.

On Tuesday, September 27, the rescue operation was carried out in a filthy Annemasse apartment.

The dog was discovered by the Animal Rescue: Refuge of Hope crew early in the morning in the nearby town of Arthaz-Pont-Notre-Dame.

The American Staffordshire Terrier dog was only skin and bones and was about a year old.

The pet was left in a cage with no way out while the owner was gone from the house for days or perhaps weeks.

Although he is known as Tilou by the animal protection association’s members, he most likely could not have endured such conditions for very long.

His life was genuinely saved by their intervention.

For Tilou, who is now in capable hands and getting the care and attention he needs to gradually heal, it was the beginning of the end of his nightmare.
