Doctors give Valerie Alexander just a few weeks to live, and for her, the dearest wish is that her dog Rosie finds a loving family before she goes missing. She makes a moving appeal.

Learning that you don’t have long to live is terrible. It is even more so when you are uncertain about the future of those you love.

Valerie Alexander is in this situation, but she remains hopeful of having her dog adopted before her death, Fox 29 Philadelphia reported on Wednesday, April 27.

Valerie Alexander lives in the Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Seriously ill and not having much time to spend in this world, she has one last wish; that his dog Rosie finds a loving family.

“She is part of my family. She is my child,” she says of the animal that has been by her side for 5 years.

Rosie shared her good times, but was also and above all there during the most difficult stages of the disease to comfort her.

Due to terminal brain cancer, Valerie Alexander has only weeks to live, according to her doctor. She would like to meet Rosie’s future owners to make sure „she receives as much love after [her] departure as she gives“.

Rosie deserves to have ’someone who loves her‘

She doesn’t want to leave knowing her dog is „sad, locked in a cage or abused“, but with „someone who loves her“.
