A great inspiration to people of all ages, especially the elderly, is Julia „Hurricane“ Hawkins.

She participated in the 2019 Senior Games at the age of 103 and took home two gold medals in the 50- and 100-meter dashes.

Her accomplishments are still impressive and a testament to her commitment to keeping active and pushing herself to new heights, even though she stopped short of surpassing her own world record in the 100-meter sprint from 2017.

Prior to turning 100, Hawkins was an active athlete who started out in competitive cycling.

She started jogging after that and eventually took part in track and field competitions.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Hawkins revealed that in Louisiana, working in her yard and keeping an eye on her diet make up the majority of her workout.

Hawkins has four children, is a grandmother of three, and is a great-grandmother of three.

As she said in an interview with the Today Show, she serves as an inspiration for elderly individuals to keep going and accomplish their goals.

Hawkins additionally stated that „At 103 years old, each day is a miracle. I simply keep getting up and coming back here.“

Hawkins said on Good Morning America that she is happy to have received two gold medals and finds it incredible that she was able to do it at such a young age.

Her talents and attitude are tremendously inspiring and serve as an example to others.

We wish Julia luck as she continues to achieve outstanding triumphs and success in her sports activities.
