This Florida woman has been reunited with her missing 15-year-old dog. Thanks to a Facebook post, the unexpected reunion was possible.

The woman was left in tears after nearly a year when she came across a photo of her dog on social media.

Lisa Raulerson of West Palm Beach had left a door open by accident on a rainy October day, and her four-legged pal, Sparky, had found his way out and vanished.

Lisa was devastated by the incident because she and her late husband had acquired Sparky when he was a puppy and reared him together.

Lisa looked for the senior dog for weeks with the help of her friends and neighbours, but it was in vain. The woman even presumptively assumed.

„We looked for him for a week or two, just looking for him,“ Lisa told WPTV. „We were pretty sure he’d passed away.“ It was heartbreaking because he was a member of our family and we talked about him every day.“

Despite her assurances that she would never see Sparky again, Lisa was set to reunite with her beloved furry buddy 331 days after he went away.

The woman was surfing on Facebook when she came across a photo of her Sparky. Her heart swelled with delight as she immediately recognised him.

„It’s as though a hole in my heart has been filled,“ she remarked. „I never expected to see him again, but he’s here.“ I wish he could communicate.“

Sparky was found wandering the streets by animal control authorities, and the Sunshine State Westie Rescue, where he wound up, shared the lifesaving photo online.

The puppy and her mother were reunited a few days later!

After Sparkly was unexpectedly reunited with his family, the shelter posted another message encouraging individuals who have been forced to go through the traumatic experience of losing their dogs to never give up.

The employees, on the other hand, wants to spread the word about the necessity of having your pet microchipped.
